IQAC of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology arranged a workshop on Outcome-based Curriculum on July 27, 2017 at Creative Hub. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Sarwar Jahan who is a Professor at Khulna University and a QA Specialist with a lot of experience in the related field.
Registration for workshop started at 9.00 am. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Md. Mafizur Rahman was present as the Chief Guest and gave an inspiring speech about curriculum and workshop and declared the opening of the workshop. Prof. Dr. Yasmin Ahmed , Director IQAC, delivered her welcome speech. She laid emphasis on the importance of workshop in developing and enhancing the quality of teaching –learning process and imparted education.
Vote of thanks was rendered by the Additional Director of IQAC. Mr. Md. Anwarul Hoque. He expressed his hope that the workshop will be very helpful and conducive for the participants. Ms. Tazia Sultana read out the biography of Professor Sarwar Jahan.
Professor Dr. Sarwar Jahan gave a highly informative and exhaustive presentation on Outcome-based Curriculum. He explained elaborately the various aspects of it. After the break for lunch and prayer, a working session ensued wherein the participants worked out some given tasks on curriculum. Later every participating department gave presentation on their accomplished work. 99 faculty-members were present as participants and actively took part and were happy to know about the different aspects of curriculum. Professor Sarwar Jahan was happy for getting cooperation and to see enthusiasm among the participants.
