IQAC, SMUCT holds day-long workshop on “Preparedness for BAETE’s Accreditation”

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology organized a day-long workshops on “Preparedness for BAETE’s Accreditation” for the Department of CSE & CSIT on Tuesday, May 06, 2025 in the SMUCT Auditorium. The main participants of the workshop were the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT). Dr. A.K.M. Muzahidul Islam, Professor, Department of CSE, United International University (UIU), was present as the key facilitator. In three interactive sessions, he explained BAETE (Board of Accreditation for Engineering & Technical Education) standards and criteria, accreditation process and various aspects of preparedness for accreditation.

 

Md. Moniruz Zaman, Director of IQAC, delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Mostafizul Haque, Hon’ble Chairman, Board of Trustees, SMUCT, was present in the event. He motivated the participants to work hard for preparing their academic programs for accreditation as per the guidelines provided in the workshop. , Mohammad Kamaluddin, Additional Director (In-charge) of IQAC, conducted the program. Among others, Professor Mohammad Mobarak Hossain, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology, and Sazzad Hoassain Bhuiyan, Head (In-Charge), Department of CSE and CSIT attended the event. The workshop provided the participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to develop their academic programs for accreditation. The workshop ended at 5:00 PM after a question-answer session.
