Greetings from the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Shanto-Mariam University of
Creative Technology (SMUCT).
Since its inception, the IQAC at SMUCT has played a pivotal role in institutionalizing a culture of quality and excellence. Anchored in our commitment to global standards, the IQAC has
developed and implemented a comprehensive framework for academic and administrative
quality assurance. Our quality enhancement mechanisms are firmly aligned with international
best practices, the standards set by Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework, Bangladesh Accreditation Council, and strategic global imperatives such as the SDGs and the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).
Over the years, IQAC has developed and institutionalized a comprehensive framework for quality assurance, encompassing academic program self-assessment, curriculum modernization, faculty capacity-building, stakeholder engagement, and systematic monitoring and evaluation. These efforts are grounded in strong collaboration—with academic departments, administrative units, and governance structures—creating an ecosystem that ensures shared ownership of quality and commitment to promote innovation and excellence through continuous cycle of improvement.
Looking ahead, our priorities include achieving program and institutional accreditation,
expanding international partnerships, and integrating sustainability principles into university
operations. These goals reflect our ambition to position SMUCT as a globally respected institution that champions creativity, relevance, and excellence in higher education.
I warmly invite faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and external
stakeholders to join us on this transformative journey. With your continued engagement and
collaboration, IQAC will play a key role in shaping SMUCT as a resilient, globally competitive, and quality-driven institution, and setting new benchmarks for quality in higher education in
Bangladesh.
