On Monday, July 17, 2017 a team of HEQEP comprising of two members -Professor Dr. Lokman Hossain, Senior Programme Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation, HEQEP and Mr. Md. Abdul Momen, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, HEQEP visited IQAC of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology to monitor implementation progress and development status of the sub-projects. They arrived at the university at 1.30 pm and they continued their visit to 5.30 pm. They also met all the sub project staff. Director Prof. Dr. Yasmin Ahmed, Additional Director Mr. Md. Anwarul Hoqu, Office Manager Ms. Farzana Mallika, Accounts Officer Mr. Abu Hayat Ratan and Mr. Maung Chaw Hla were present.
As per their requirements, the visitors checked and talked about the relevant documents and matters. They talked about the mission & vision of HEQEP for institutionalizing quality education in all spheres of higher education. Talks were held also on creating awareness about quality enhancement and capacity building of the faculty-members. Steps taken by the IQAC of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology to institutionalize the culture of quality education also came up for discussion. They were very much satisfied with the activities of the IQAC. They gave some suggestions and guidance. They said that everything should be done according to proposal submitted by the university.
All the IQAC staff of SMUCT was available during their visit hours. Prof. Dr. Quazi Md. Mafizur Rahman, Vice Chancellor ; Dr. Md. Ahsanul Kabir, Member of Board of Trustees ; Ar. Hosne Ara Rahman, Registrar ; Lt. Col. A. Salam Mian(Retd.), Member Secretary of QAU; A.K.M. Sirajul Islam, Member secretary of QC were introduced with the HEQEP team at IQAC conference room of SMUCT.
